Two-way SMS
Two-way messaging is communication using both Mobile Originated (MO) and Mobile Terminated (MT) SMS, i.e. enabling the sending and receiving of SMS. Messages can be sent and received using the SMTP, SMPP and HTTP interfaces.
Using one of the 'Receiving SMS' methods (Virtual Mobile Numbers or SIM Hosting), recipients of MT SMS can simply 'reply', allowing clients to receive responses. These numbers can also be used in a number of application scenarios, including:
- requesting information
- competitions
- enterprise messaging
- telematics
- voting
