Service Levels
In order to match the different needs and budgets of customers our accounts for sending and receiving SMS can have any one of a number of service levels. Each service level has a different level of support, VPN availability and message throughput. All interface protocols (SMPP, SMTP, HTTP, Web Services (SOAP / XML)) and HSL Solutions (AlertBroadcast, EmailSMS, WebSMS) are available on each of the service levels.
Promotional Offer
New Advanced Services customers can benefit from one of our new promotions for the first 6 months of service. Customers can opt for either the MT offer (and receive a monthly message allowance) or opt for the MO offer (and benefit from free Virtual Mobile Numbers or Virtual SIMs).
The table below shows each service level, the associated costs, the maximum number of SMS guaranteed under the Service Level Agreement, the support level provided and also the MT and MO promotional offers.

* Please note that new customers can only select one offer and that this will be applicable for the first 6 months of service only. Where no offer is selected, the MT offer will be given by default. Any SMS messages sent over and above the monthly message rate will be charged at the standard message rate.
To obtain an account to send and / or receive SMS please go to the Apply section. Please note that you may select either a Prepay or Standard Account. If you wish to open a Standard Account then this will be subject to satisfactory credit checks. Payment for both accounts can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit card.

Please note:
- Charges will automatically be applied at the above rates whenever an account's capacity is exceeded. The charge ensures that the SMS sent and received over the daily capacity are covered under the Service Level Agreement.
- SLA Throughput Guarantee for an account will automatically be upgraded on a single day to the above "maximum SMS per day", e.g. an Entry level account with a capacity of 250 SMS per day can handle a maximum of 2,500 SMS per day.
- "Intro" and "Corporate" level accounts are excluded.
- HSL will aim to provide notification via email within one business day of an account exceeding capacity.
