Law Firm Makes Use of HSL's SMS Services in Secure Remote Access
In 2007 a large city law firm initiated contact with HSL as they had a requirement to provide two factor authentication for several hundred lawyers who needed to access their systems remotely. The company currently serves a wide range of clients worldwide, from multi-national corporations to private individuals. Having chosen a security product that delivered tokenless two factor authentication via SMS messages they needed to outsource SMS delivery to a trusted third party. HSL were approached to provide an outbound (MT) SMS service for the company based on their commitment to resilience and reliability. HSL's technically capable and highly reliable SMS delivery infrastructure comprises three geographically separate and independent customer facing site, and links directly into the infrastructure of multiple mobile network operators. The configuration includes geographic redundancy and redundant links via different suppliers between all sites. This infrastructure enables HSL to offer clients over 99.9% availability Service Level Agreement.
