About Us

HSL (Hay Systems Ltd), formed in the United Kingdom in 1999, is a developer of GSM mobile network infrastructure, a mobile network operator and a provider of mobile services to organisations and individuals around the world. HSL is recognised for consistently delivering superior and technically advanced solutions including SMS gateway services and mobile network services.

Having originally been formed as a messaging provider, HSL has grown through a strong focus on the technical aspects of mobile telecommunications to now operate mobile network services and has the ability to self-provide network elements for its own mobile network. Such network elements are developed and marketed to other mobile network operators through the Mobile Networks division of HSL and include SMSCs, AuCs, HLRs, MSCs, VLRs, BSCs and GSM femtocell base stations. The HSL 2.75G Femtocell is a low power and low cost GSM base station, supporting the GSM 1800MHz band and soon the 900MHz band, and works with all 2G and 3G mobile handsets.

SMS remains a core activity of the Mobile Messaging division of the company through which HSL offer high quality mobile messaging services and solutions with global coverage of more than 620 mobile network operators worldwide. HSL's robust technical infrastructure, coupled with their innovative developments in SS7 connectivity, positions HSL uniquely within the industry as an SMS service provider with a commitment to resilience and reliability, quality client relationships and innovative network infrastructure enhancements.

Sales Offices

HSL's head office is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland. In addition to our Scottish base we also have a sales office in Munich, Germany serving the needs of our global client base.
